JUDGING PANEL

When it comes to entering awards there are a number of key elements that judges are looking for. The top three are as follows:

KEEP IT SIMPLE - This might be seem straight forward, however when you are submitting an entry for an industry award it can sometimes be overlooked. Judges have a limited amount of time to spend on each entry, so keep it short and too the point, this includes visual presentations, verbal explanations and written descriptions.

STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD - Be unique in pitching your ideas to the judging panel. Judges see hundreds and possibly thousands of submissions, so be creative in making yours memorable. If you are presenting in person before an award panel, provide them with a small token at the end, such as a business card with an image of your entry. If you are presenting to a panel via video conference, tell them a story about your entry that is authentic and that they will remember.

BE PREPARED - One of the most important things to remember when presenting to judges for awards is to be well prepared on the day. Have a checklist that includes the following; make sure your presentation content is correct and compatible with the technology at the awards location; do a run through of your verbal content and know it well so that you will not need to refer to notes; consider what questions the judges may ask you and have your answers ready; make sure to greet your judging panel before you start and thank them at the end for their time.

These three key points are just some of the recommendations we provide to our clients for their industry award entries.
